We’re Official – HDVA is Now a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit!
We’re beyond excited to share that High Desert Volleyball Association (HDVA) has officially been granted 501(c)(3) nonprofit status! This is a huge milestone for our organization and marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for volleyball in Central Oregon.
Becoming a recognized nonprofit allows us to expand our mission—making volleyball more accessible, inclusive, and supportive for athletes of all ages and skill levels. It also opens the door for us to provide hardship assistance, pursue grant opportunities, and grow the resources we offer our community. Every tournament, clinic, and outreach event from here on out directly fuels our ability to serve and uplift those around us.
This moment wouldn’t be possible without the dedication of our players, volunteers, families, and supporters who believed in our vision from the beginning. Whether you played in a grass tournament, helped set up nets, donated your time, or simply showed up to cheer from the sidelines—you’ve been part of this journey, and we are so thankful.
We have big plans for the future, and now, with this foundation in place, we’re ready to grow, give back, and SMASH even harder (pinecones included 🏐→🌲).
Stay tuned for upcoming events, new programs, and ways you can get involved. The best is yet to come—and we’re just getting started.
With gratitude, HDVA Board and Members
